Uses For Disposable Plastic Pint Glasses

Disposable plastic pint glasses extremely popular items for a variety of uses. Their increased popularity can primarily be attributed to legislation changes that are aimed at reducing accidents caused by broken glassware. Pint glasses uses at festivals cannot be made from glass or any other material that’s likely to shatter and create dangerous sharp edges – they’ve been replaced by softer disposable plastic glasses, normally made from Polypropylene.

It’s not uncommon to see disposable glasses used at regular Nightclubs, Pubs and Bars – although in general there is a changeover period from glassware to plastic late in the evening. This is especially true of smoking areas or venues with an outdoor area.

Reusable Plastic Pint Glasses

These are primarily uses for pubs, Nightclubs and Bars seeking to completely replace their glassware with similar looking plastic equivalents. They’re available in a range of styles to mimic their glass counterparts. You can see our full range of Reusable Plastic Glasses

Do I need CE stamped glasses?

If you intend to serve Beer, Cider or other alcoholic drinks commercially then you need to use a plastic glass that features the CE mark. This can be found on the base and confirms that the capacity has been approved in the UK by Weights and Measures. The choice between brim-full (pint to brim) or oversize (pint to line) depends on if you use free flow or metered pumps. 20oz (pint glasses) should be chosen if you’ve got free-flow pumps, whereas the pint-to-line (20oz) glasses are better suited to the oversize tumblers.
